The culprit of the moment seems to be Robert Parker, but perhaps Mother Nature is more to blame. It would seem even she has more impact on vineyards than Mr. Parker. A quick look at the string of warm vintages in places like Piemonte and Oregon has to send up a few warning signals to even the skeptical.
